The City of a Hundred Steeples. Long has Montreal reigned as a major commercial hub for mortals. In the shadows, away from prying eyes, Montreal was known as the stronghold of the vile Sabbat, vampires who indulge in their monstrous nature as they terrorize the living and the undead. That is, until the Night of Ashes, when vampire hunters stormed Montreal and destroyed almost every vampire they could find in the city.
Now, years later, vampires of two sects have surfaced in Montreal: those of the rigid but ordered Camarilla, and the free but chaotic Anarchs. The Camarilla vampires, led by Prince Martin Hilkers, are the de factor rulers of the city and the Prince imposes his laws over every vampire, whether they like it or not. His competence may be contested, though none can argue that vampires have thrived under his rule, especially when compared to the heyday of the Sabbat.
But all is not what it seems in Prince Hilkers' Court. Vampires go missing. Rumors speak of strange shadows in the city's sewers. Vampire hunters, veterans of the Night of Ashes are becoming active again. The rule of the Camarilla Court is precarious, and Montreal is on the verge of disaster once more. The Prince has called an emergency Elysium, a meeting of all the city's vampires.
