CMON Comics Vol 2 - Zombicide - Dead in the Water + Extras
Amy, Keiko, and Diana were getting the heck out of dodge when a CIA agent stopped them. Doug and his coworkers were doing the same, But Bryan, the aforementioned CIA agent, and his right-hand man, Brahim “recruited” all of them to solve a problem—all the pharmacies were empty, and the surviving few needed medicine. Bryan’s solution? Raid a cruise ship docked in port. All they wanted was out. Now, they’re looting a cruise ship where a horde of the dead were about to have the time of their lives. The team better pull together if they want to live because the cruise of the dead is an unforgiving adversary.
Just like its predecessor Day One, Dead in the Water, the 2nd volume of Zombicide comics features a team of incredibly talented writers and artists, including Stefano Vietti (story & editing), Michele Monteleone (script), Francesco Mobili (art), Paolo Francescutto (coloring), Antonio Esposito (lettering), and Matteo Brembilla (graphic design).
This 100+ page hardcover graphic novel follows well-known Zombicide Survivors as they are confronted with an issue they might not have the freedom to ignore and now must work together with strength and discipline to get out alive of this cruise ship conquered by the undead.
The CMON Comics - Vol. 2 Pre-order also brings 2 exclusive Missions and a brand-new set of 4 tiles featuring the abandoned cruise ship.
Bryan is a talented agent and an even fiercer Survivor, with both a civic duty and much to fight for. True to his past, he's both a tactician and a leader. His skillset lets him study the surroundings before acting, always keeping an eye on his comrades to offer aid when needed and being especially talented against ranged opponents.
A king with no throne, the cruise's captain is coming after zombies with vengeance. Used to being listened to and obeyed, it's no surprise he's a born leader. He's also particularly vicious against zombies, having different bonuses for ranged attacks. Knowing his ship as the back of his hand, he also has some control over where zombies spawn.
Harold's resourcefulness is no illusion - even though most of his tricks are. You can always trust him to have something up his sleeve, be it a hunting knife, a Molotov, or a machine gun. He's also surprisingly lucky and resilient, being quite resistant to damage when he reaches the red level.
It's not unusual for older folk to come across new hobbies and interests. Bird-watching, watercolor painting, target shooting... Such is the case for sweet Mavis, who saw her relaxing cruise trip turn into great ranged practice. Who would have guessed shooting zombies would be such fun! Mavis' shooting talent is pretty much second nature, getting better and better as her level advances.
Julie is methodical, which was needed in her line of work and is needed now that the world is pretty much ending. She moves with ease around the ship, dealing with every single nuisance in her way in her usual clean, effective manner.
Brahim is constantly moving. Speed and agility ruled his life before the zombies came, and are keeping him alive right now. He's fast and hard to catch, which doesn't mean he's not up to a good, close-up fight. At red level, not only he slips away easily, but he also gets his friends out of harm's way.
When the outbreak started, Walter was one of the few who didn't find himself with empty hands. Far from it, actually: he was really well-supplied. Equipped with the seemingly unlimited booze supply of the cruise ship, he makes Molotov cocktails with amazing speed. He's also creative enough to find things around that others overlooked and turn them into something deadly.
Keiko's past didn't exactly come back to haunt her, her very specific skillset was just needed again, this time for a very different reason. At least, now she's protecting herself and the ones around her. She's an outstanding fighter and her talents with a sword increase with the number of zombies she kills. When she reaches red level, she's nothing short of a swordmaster.
